I’ve recently started experimenting on my laptop. I am trying to learn a new skill mainly around graphic design. I’ve been making these for free for friends and family to practice. It’s been quite rewarding being capable of designing something and putting a smile on somebody’s face!
Above is a sign for my friend’s young son, Ayjay. He’s a die-hard Spiderman fan. He was pretty stoked to put this on his door.
Canva is my design platform. It is a good all round site for beginners like myself. I started with a blank canvas. I gradually added piece by piece until I came up with this. What could I have done better do you think? Any suggestions on improvement would greatly be appreciated.
What platforms do you guys recommend? How long have you all been in the industry? What are some other basic things I can try and design? I’ve drawn with lead and colored pencils for 15 years. This is definitely a new and exciting passion for me as I’m not completely confident on a computer to start with let alone creating art on one 🙂
